BETA PHOTO: Deciphering the roof


A fantastic and varied route. Starts with a tight-hands entry that quickly progresses to hands then off-width, then squeeze sizes and that's just the 1st half. You'll then traverse 10' along a brittle ledge to an intimidating roof that will take you to the final squeeze chimney.

Very little exfoliation on this route minus the ledge and leg-bar.


Route starts behind a boulder near the pine on the right of the formation.

This is one of the coolest routes I've done.
The move just before the roof is fun!

Employs a wide range of sizes from thin hands to squeeze. Description is spot on. The only thing I would add is I anchored to the climber's left with a BD #1~2 size. Easy walk off.
