Description Suggest change

Obviously these boulders are no longer unclimbed, but the main description for Stony referred to them as "unclimbed", so it seemed fitting to leave it this way. This is the first set of boulders, on the left, encountered on the Shut-In/Mountain to Sea trail as you hike in from Elk Pasture Gap...the main big fin/boulder of this set is obvious from the trail. Be careful of fragile or hollow holds on the Unclimbed Highball Boulder, that could send you into a bad landing...tap and test each edge on the way up before pulling on it. Some holds we're skipped on the FA's on purpose because they sounded too hollow...overall though, the big/thick edges are good, so aim for those.

Getting There Suggest change

After picking up the Shut-In/Mountain to Sea trail from the parking at the junction of 151 and the Blue Ridge Parkway, this is the first small set of boulders on the left side of the trail less than a 5 minute hike in.
