Due to the influx of climbers during the COVID-19 pandemic, the residents of the Hillcrest area have been suffering from substantial parking problems that, if left unchecked, may threaten access to the Vacaville Boulders.
Please utilize the alternative parking options listed under the “Location” sub section in the area description
Description
A large boulder was rolled out of the way to open up this new route. Sit start left of a scar and pull your left hand up to a horrible sloping crimp, bump to the jagged crimp and shoot the right hand to the good razor edge crimp. Head strait up the blunt arete from there.
A right variation sit starts right of the scar in very good crimp pockets next to each other. Right hand high to a thin crimp/pinch, left up to a crimp just next to it, bump over to the thin razor crimp and up the blunt arete from there staying just to it's right up much easier ground. Be wary, though the climbing up higher is easier, it tends to be very crusty, a little loose in spots, tall (about 18ft) and will test your nerve.
