This is a tough lead. The only real protection is the cable that runs across the wall.


Starts a few feet to the right of the hole in the base of the rock


Standard rack. This route is VERY runout.

The bottom of this route (up to the wire) is a lot of fun with some pretty crimpy moves. The wire makes pulling the crux even more interesting.

I had a lot of fun doing this. We TR'd it but it was very fun to do and I would love to do it again.

For what it's worth, this route was rated 5.10d/11a in my old Ogden guidebook from the 90's. After recently climbing it again on top rope, it definitely didn't feel like 5.9 to me! Fun moves on nice edges, smears, and side pulls, in spite of the cables.
