Description

Two pillars in a small cirque: left twin and right twin. Left twin was WI3 conditions when we were there, while right twin was a little easier (WI2-3). Good for first leads. Only 1 star because the climbs are both short, but worth a visit for the budding lead climber because of it's accessibility from the road. Both routes can also easily be top roped from trees.

There's a walk up immediately right of right twin here so you can approach from above or below.

Location

46 25' 46" N, -86 37' 04" W
There are two ways to reach this climb. The fastest is to follow game trails from the road (don't park in the road) to the GPS coordinates above where you'll find the small alcove with the climbs. There's a stream that feeds these climbs and which you can follow once you find it (I didn't see it from the road). This should only take around 10 minutes of bushwhacking.
The second way is to take Becker Rd from Highway 58. This road is not plowed, but provides access to a snowmobile/xcountry ski trail that intersects it soon after leaving H58. Take a left along this trail and follow the subsequent rightward bend in the trail. The trail bends leftward again after a short distance, and you should see a signpost for the munising county trail at this point which continues on straight from where the snowmobile trail bends left. Follow this new trail. The first ice you see will be twin falls, you can't miss it, and if in doubt check the GPS coordinates. Total approach from H58 is about 30 minutes along a well defined and flat trail.

Protection
