The Twilight Area is a large climbing area encompassing 4 sub-zones: Twilight Wall, Upper Midlife Wall, Sunnyvale, and Wild Wall.

This is a Fall/Winter/Spring area mostly depending on the river level. The most commonly used crossing lies just upstream of a famous 5th class rapid called White Line. So, if the crossing is questionable at is probably best to find another crag.

Getting There

The Twilight Area is located in the Narrows of the Poudre Canyon, approximately 19.5 miles from Ted's Place. Park in the Eden pull-out or in the same pull-out used for Snake Eyes Wall.

Wild and Scenic 5.12d 7c 28 IX 28 E6 6b  Colorado : Fort Collins : ... : Wild Wall
Wild and Scenic is another stunning, seldom repeated Steve McCorkel route. From the gully, climb past 3 bolts of 5.8 terrain using extra long slings to reach Steve's original 2-bolt belay anchor. From here, climb past 2 bolts in the slab to finally reach the main wall. Start by doing a sort of leaning traverse up and left on big jugs. Be careful around the 2nd bolt, because your belayer cannot see you and the ledge/slab are pretty close. Get a rest at the break/horizontal, and pull up into the ra...[more]   Browse More Classics in Colorado
