Turtle Island Rock Climbing
BETA PHOTO: I Will Fight No More Forever topo
This is the mostly south facing wall at the north end of the Boundary Plateau. It looks somewhat like Big Butte. There is a lot of climbing variety here, the rock is generally very good, and the habitat is lovely due to not being heavily burned in 2002. The Main Wall/South Face is particularly fine. Best access to the top is around the east (either via 3th class scrambling or a 2nd class hike up the valley much farther east).
Best approached from the south (across the Boundary Plateau from the BIg Butte area), or from the west.
Climbing Season For the Okanogan area.
