Turahalli Forest is a boulder garden in southwest Bangalore that offers a large concentration of problems on hundreds of granite blocks. The ease of access makes this a popular spot for local climbers looking for a quick couple hours on a weekday morning (or evening, if you're willing to do battle with the traffic), or longer weekend sessions in the cooler months.
Turahalli is flanked by two major roads: Kanakapura Rd on the east and the Bangalore-Mysore Expressway on the west (not to be confused with Mysore Rd). Driving at daybreak, one can typically get to Turahalli in a half-hour or less from most parts of the city, but at other times, it could easily take twice as long. See map for location. From the road most of the problems are no more than a 20-minute walk along forest trails.
