I'm a beginning trad climber (5.4-5.5 Yosemite lead?? - never climbed there before) looking for a partner to climb pretty moderate routes in Tuolumne Meadows on either July 17th and 18th. I'm also happy to jump on a bit harder routes as a follower.

My trad "career" really just began this spring when I took a four day trad boot camp with the American Alpine Institute in Red Rock (I highly recommend these folks). Since then, I have been practicing my technique on really, really easy stuff here in Minnesota.

I'd be super excited to have a chance to do a little trad climbing during my brief stay in Yosemite this summer. I'd love to pair-up with anyone with a little trad experience who needs a partner.

I have a double rack of cams up to 4 cams, nuts, hexes, slings, etc. I would be happy to help outfit our climb, sling rope, and/or buy beverages for someone willing to do some climbing with me.

Shoot me message here on Mountain Project with your contact information if you're interested or want more information about my climbing interests/ability.

Hello Chad, I will be out there at the same time and would be interested in meeting up with you. My trad experience is around 5.9 and can lead harder routed in sport but willing to try a trad lead up to 5.10. Maybe we could try Cathedral PEAK or Tanaya? What is your climbing ability if you are following? Hit me back up and we can get something started. Hope to hear from you soon Jake Buck

Hi Jake!

Both of those climbs sound great to me. It's hard for me to say exactly what I can follow on in Yosemite, but maybe 5.9? I climb 5.11[a-d] in my little local gym, but those grades are quite soft compared with Yosemite.

I'll message you my contact information so we can coordinate.

Psyched!
