Description

A short, moderate, interesting face climb that stays engaging to the anchor. Probably 8+ or 9-.

Crimp, mantel and high-step past 2 bolts and a piece of gear to an anchor at 45'.

Makes a great warmup for other routes in the area.

Location

This climb is located in between the Test Pilot area and the Comatose area. Starts just in front of a large Chestnut Oak on the far right side of the Test Pilot area.

Protection

2 protection bolts, small to medium cams, 2 bolt belay

Great , short climb but consensious is more 9+ to 10a from everyone I've talked to. I onsighted it then relead it a couple months later and it felt exactly the same difficulty as the onsight. Great route just the same.

I think this route is garbage. The "gear opportunity" in the horizontal is complete crap. I got up to it, fiddled three cams in, all of which sucked, and realized if i blow this move and these cams pull, I am hitting the ground. So I projected back down and got off the climb. All of which for a boring 45' face climb? I think this one is a lost cause.
