is there any trad routes that are single pitches that would be great for a beginner trad leader. Skeeter aka richard

Ummm... yes.

:-) asked for that. When you seek information, it's best to give someone a little information to work with. Like what area you might live in where the routes might be located (this is a New Mexico and Arizona forum). Otherwise there's no point in anyone trying to respond constructively with a shotgun blast of random easy routes across two states.

Your signature indicates you are from Albuquerque.

Flake 'n Bake in the Sandia foothills might be good; the crux might be finding the way to scramble up and around to the money pitch. There are at least a couple good leads off the beginning ledge with two bolts.

Another option might be to head up to Potrillo Cliffs near White Rock.

Above, I say "might be" since a lot depends on your climb ability as well as ability to place good gear.
