According to " A Climber's Guide to Mt.Rubidiux" by Steve Mackay (1978) this formation (and route) was called the "Six-Ton Weenie." What's the justification for changing the name?

The name comes from the Southern California Bouldering Guide (Fry).

Well, the Mackay guide predates the Fry guide, and both Vogel and Fry have taken liberties in regard to route names at Mt. Rubidoux.

edit....Thank you, Euan, for the update!
