Description

Viewed from the car this is the large boulder (the right of two) that sits slightly upslope and just left of Saddle Rock's left side. Two routes are found here - Episcopalian Toothpick (5.10c) a crack to face and Presbyterian Dental Floss (5.10d) a balancy arete.

Getting There

Approach as for routes on the left side of Saddle Rocks (i.e. Right On, Orange Flake etc.) and head uphill to the obvious large boulder.

This classic route is easily visible from the road as a straight up thin crack in a boulder just left of Saddle Rock. Climb the crack until it ends, then make a high step past a bolt to the top. The face move is tricky, and the crack itself is not exactly trivial either. A short but engaging 5.10...[more]   Browse More Classics in CA
