The West Rim area is locate up the valley from Boardwalk Area . Problems are located on on boulders in the canyon and off to the sides. Many of the best problems take a little bit of hunting out, but persevere because they are real gems.

The standout boulder of the area is Emerald City.

Getting There 

Walk up the canyon from Boardwalk Area . As you approach the top of the canyon you can head left to the Emerald City or straight on to reach the Bearded Tongue boulder.

Climbing Season

For the Shangri-La Valley area.

This is a really fun V3, a little harsh for the grade, right below Roof Jugs on the way to Emerald.

There is a variation start to this problem, beginning under the roof at a large hueco. Its a bit of a squeeze, but its a cool problem. Called it Antikythera Mechanism (v5).
