BETA PHOTO: The Wall of Life in Rifle Mountain Park. 1 - Cut t...

Description

This is a new wall of moderate climbing that is close to the road but has a secluded, tucked-away kind of feel. The rock is featured with pockets and ribs. The routes are new, so expect some dust and freshness.

Getting There

The wall is upstream and left of the Wasteland. Park at the Wasteland and go about 30 yards upcanyon/upstream from the left edge of the Wasteland (where Popular Demand and Community Service are). Look for a trail going through the willows and trees on your right. The trail puts you at the lowest part of the wall, where the first three routes have been established.

Climbing Season

For the Rifle Mountain Park area.

Agape 5.10c 6b 20 VII 20 E2 5b  CO : Rifle Mountain Park : The Wall of Life
Start on steep, pocketed rock and climb sustained, wandering, and thoughtful climbing that requires balance and footwork. You'll find a series of pockets, cracks and features. The finish involves a mantle to a good stance. The world is a better place when people act out of love, not hate. ...[more]   Browse More Classics in CO
