Description

There is a big "No Trespassing" painted on the rock at the entrance to a corridor flanked by a basalt cliff band on the left. The land was recently purchased by the City of Pocatello as part of the new Cheyenne Crossing connector.

NOTE: These highballs can be potentially dangerous and one may want to top-rope them first. With that said 80% offer good spots to set up a gear anchor, DO NOT BOLT ANY OF THEM. They are boulder problems and need no bolts.

The primary developers of the area include Andrew Thaller, Chris Tenant, Josh Mcreedy, and Preston Perkins. Some of the routes required a lot of cleaning however it is likely some of the obvious lines were probably poached when this was private land.

This basalt crag has some great problems some of which are high balls. Bring your crash pads.

Getting There

Take S. 2nd Ave past lower Ross Park, the zoo, and swimming pool. Continue past the parking for Ross Park Sunny Side climbing area. Drive under the overpast and park at the AMI Reach Trailhead. Walk a short distance up the asphalt trail and climbing begins on the right.
