Description Suggest change

It's a semi artificial wall on a Carmel Beach, access is open to the public. It's right below the pebble beach golf course and is a mix of rock and concrete that was built by pebble beach to look real while functioning as a retaining wall to protect their golf course, and of course to give access to climbers with no local climbs.

There are numerous routes everywhere from 5.7-5.11, depending on when you go and the flow of the sand bouldering runs from 12-18 feet. An incredibly long and fun traverse is also possible.

I've been coming here for years and never seen anyone climb here I didn't bring.

Getting There Suggest change

Take highway 1 to Ocean Ave in Carmel. Head straight down Ocean Ave, until you get to the beach. Park. Walk towards the ocean until your feet feel the cool refreshing water, turn right and walk to the end. When you get to a giant traverse you've found it.
