Getting There

Follow lick creek road untill it turns into eastside drive. Follow eastside drive untill you are on the north side of payette lake. The formation is obvious.

Awesome chimney splitting the formation. 3rd class scrambling to get up into it. About half way up the climber is totally inside the rock. The top is probably the crux with a few alternate finishes that probably go at 5.9 and 5.10+. Really fun climb. To descend walk climbers right untill you see a trail. Take this trail all the way down to the base. Another option is scrambling 4th class when the trail breaks off. It is obvious. ...[more]   Browse More Classics in Idaho

This may seem obvious to most, but do not try and rap off the bolts that are on top of the rock to the climbers right just the the left of the arete. Your rope WILL get stuck, and you will have to ascend the rope to free them.

This is a really fun little crag! Beautiful setting, good rock, and a straightforward trail back to the base, what more could you ask for? Morning shade, afternoon sun.

Great spot close to McCall. We made it out here while vacationing in the area. Quality granite sport climbing. In addition to the routes in the topo picture there are 3 shorter routes to the left of the trad climbs that are also in the 9+ - 10 range.

Climbed here with the family on vacation two weeks ago. Very fun and beautiful crag. There are perhaps 6+ more routes that are unlisted on the left side of the main wall (4 of those sport & 2 other anchors I could see. trad?).
