The Stronghold is an exceptional bouldering venue offering year round bouldering on quality Quartz Monzonite. Over 300 established problems from VGina -V11 await the adventurous climber in the small glacial scar. The area is secluded and frequented only by furry critters and the occasional hunter (litter bugs).

Getting There

The area specifics will be released this spring :)

Only 1 parking space off a steep road. The approach can vary from 5-25 min.

Walking in from the bottom is quite the trek! 15-1hr.

A climb that brings great pleasure! Stand start heading left to sweet side pulls followed by a hard move to establish the right hand at a good crimp rail, match and use technical trickery past small pinches and crimps to finish at the slam dunk bucket!...[more]   Browse More Classics in California

The admin will not delete it, even though Shondeen had asked him to remove it.

Should this area and all contents be deleted? It looks like Shondeen has left the building.

If you know something about this, just click the "Improve this Page" button and a short note explaining why to delete it. That will put it in a high visibility spot that all area admins can see.

I asked Shondeen to provide more info to make the pages useful a long time ago, but I never got a response. I was never asked to delete it, but since the info is useless as it is the page should probably be removed.
