The Arizona Strip is the north western most corner of Arizona which is somewhat isolated from the rest of the state because of the Colorado River, and the Grand Canyon. More of a playground for Southern Utah and Nevada climbers looking for beautiful desert limestone sport climbing.

The Virgin River Gorge is perhaps the most recognizable crag, and known for the route Necessary Evil. First climbed by Chris Sharma in 1997, this route was one of the first to receive the 5.14c grade in the United States.
