I first found these boulders in Feb, 2014 when some of the lines barely poked above the two feet of crusty snow. Bands of schist stick out of the hillside, some only 3-4 feet tall, and others approaching 15 make for interesting problems from easy, tall crystal-granite problems to short, fierce lines on clean-cut schist. Take your pick.

Getting There

Start up the main hiking trail until pass the kiosk on your right. From here, it's best to break off the trail, headed left and down the slope. Continue, moving roughly 1 part down and two parts ahead until you see the beginning sections of rock.

A 20' long, 5' tall band of slightly overhanging schist with a birch tree in the middle will be the first wall with climbs on it. Left of the tree is Spring Again (V3), the beginning on this cliff line. See video in comments for an idea of the area and what to look for. (GPS is very approximate for now)

A line of perfectly cut schist edges starts with some funky beta to get off the ground. Begin on the left-facing gaston rail, somewhere around the middle. Properly placed feet make a tough starting move a little easier before trending up and right on great holds....[more]   Browse More Classics in New Hampshire
