The Main Slab is the most popular crag in the area. It faces southwest and is 80 feet wide with lower angle routes to right and more vertical climbing to the left. The routes are generally between 40-60 ft long. Most are leadable and all can be top roped from trees and boulders at the top. Bring a long static or webbing since many trees near the edge have died.
As the blue-blazed approach trail reaches rock and becomes steeper, turn left
onto an unmarked climbers trail that follows the wall down about 80 feet past the Right Side routes. Eventually you will be able to scramble up a short wall
to the base of the slab. Be careful, especially if you are wearing a pack or the ground is damp. The moves are not hard but the consequences of falling may be significant.
You can access the top of the Main Slab directly by continuing on the blue-blazed trail up to the top of the hill. Then follow a faint climbers trail down (trending right) to the top of the Main Slab.
