Description

This is the second most popular boulder in the area and with good reason. It offers around a dozen climbs on mostly good quality conglomerate (that is of a different composition than the First Boulder). Most of the lines fall in the V0-V6 range and include several area classics.

Getting There

Follow an obvious trail east from the First Boulder (listed here at The Mine Boulder) for 70 yards. The trail runs straight into the boulder. You can't miss it.

Start sitting with both hands on a choice of incuts at 4 feet. Gain the slopey sidepull undercling, and power out left to a good incut. The V6ish version continues angling left on grainy slopers. The V5ish version heads slight right and up on improving holds. The large jug to the right of the start is 'off'.Though slightly contrived, this line is still very worthwhile. Body position makes a big difference on this one....[more]   Browse More Classics in Colorado
