The steepness at The Lost World

This area is still being reviewed for climbing by the City, Please be careful, and low key. MORE INFO >>>

This is a small route climbing area with two distinct walls right next to one another. One is slabby and the other is really steep. Both are shaded and secluded. Mainly sport climbing on both.

Getting There

Follow the directions to the lower reservoir and hike the trail that breaks right and away from the lower reservoir. As the trail begins downhill you will see another trail in about 100 yards that leads to a tall freestanding rock tower. Head that way, the cliffs are just beyond this tower.

Begin in the middle of the steepness on the chunk beneath a dark, sometimes wet, slash in the face. Crush the opening boulder problem (hard and maybe slimy) to some larger holds into the giant hole. Get a shake and then pull the roof and pump your way through the fun fun fun top section....[more]   Browse More Classics in Virginia
