The Pillars Area doesn't have a lot of problems, but the problems that do exist are excellent. Two tall pillar-like boulders are the focus of the area, but a few boulders lie nearby, most notably the big boulder just downhill and a cool crack in a cave/roof problem.

Getting There

The easiest way to access these boulders is to hike up and left from the Yellowjacket Boulder.

Sorry for the terrible quality. This ~15' rock is right downhill from Deadly Pillars; there's a truly incredible (and hard) looking climb up a steep face.

Rock Climbing Photo: Same boulder, right arete.
Same boulder, right arete.

Is this the 'large boulder' mentioned in the description downhill from the pillars? There look to be two really good lines on it, and someone has clearly cleaned it. Still projects?

Hi Sean. Yeah, I cleaned the two lines on that boulder, but they're open projects. Go out there and send them!

Very tempting! Thanks for all the cleaning and posting directions; this area is great.
