Description Suggest change

Once a bit of a bastard of rumney crags NWT has seen some hard work, anchor replacement, scrubbing, and god knows what to dig up the new routes on the left haha.
Anyway, it is worth the hike and it hosts routes from quite easy to quite hard.
As of now it is a good way to escape the crowds but who knows, it could be the next big thing. So get it while it's hot! With the improved trail, passing by here is now the best way to the Prudential, NW Passage, Yellowknife and Hinterlands crags, avoiding the steep eroded trail up from Triple Corners

Getting There Suggest change

From the main cliff parking area, head over to the Blackjack Boulders. Hike west through the Blackjack Boulders and just keep going out the other end where the trail curves up the hill to the crag. It has gotten better over the years and should be easy enough to follow.

Alternatively, you can approach from the Buffalo Pit parking lot. Take the trail on the east end of the lot that parallels the road for about one minute to a marked sign where a trail forks left. The sign for the Northwest Territories will point you to this steep uphill. You'll get to a trail sign after 10-15 min of hiking. Follow the sign to the right to get to the lower (easier) climbs at NWT head left then drop down a steep trail to the right to get to the upper (mostly harder) climbs of the area.
