One of the classics-Milestoned Arete

I stumbled across these three boulders while heading to the Sherman boulder. I couldn't' believe how dirty they were for how close they are to the round pond boulders. There are 3 moderate sized boulders right in a row with some classic moderate climbs and potential for a few real hard ones.

Getting There

Take the path beyond the round pond boulders while keeping the pond in site and on your right. Less than a mile of flat hiking and you'll cross over the pond inlet. From here walk about 150 feet further and a little in land from the pond and you'll see the first boulder(Slab City), Milestone is the name of the second boulder, and The Brick is the furthest boulder away from round pond. I don't know if these lines were done in the past or not so if anyone has any more information feel free to share!

Sit start with left hand high on the arete and right hand on the blank face, fight a barn door and make a cool move to a 2 finger pocket on the face. From there use a lot of core and some fancy foot work to top her out. If you're having a hard time getting of the ground then just do the stand, it's well worth it and probably a v3!...[more]   Browse More Classics in New Hampshire

Never climbed on those yet. With all those star ratings, I'll try to get out there soon to help with consensus. Looks fun!

Look forward to hearing what you think, Alec! My star ratings here are mostly based on the climbs at the milestones and the round pond area, not all of Pway. It's pretty hard to compare with the mega classics of course, but in my mind they're as good as any. I've got a few more lines to post too but they still could use some cleaning.
