Only accessible when the river is at its lowest, this area has a variety of crack and face climbs. The stone varies greatly in feel, from the most challenging polished smears, to solid jams, to sharp crimps, with a full range of difficulty.
The length of most of the boulders is at that sweet spot, just long enough to have interesting sequences, but not so tall as to approach anything highball. We got along with just a few pads for the majority of the climbs.
There are about a half dozen problems/projects, with potential for more.

Getting There

Located south-west of the man made traverse wall, roughly 100 meters away. These boulders are under water for most of the year, so seize the opportunity when the water gets low. We visited them around Thanksgiving, so if planning to check them out, shoot for that time.

Climbing Season

For the Sequoia & Kings Canyon NP area.
