BETA PHOTO: The God-No! Wall. Right-hand side of Baboon Buttre...

Description

The biggest and the steepest wall at Boven. Grades are mostly from 5.11a to 5.14. Definitely one of South Africa best sport crag.
Orientation is south east, getting the shade at 10 h 30.

Getting There

Same approach as Baboon Buttress. Keep walking along the cliff until you see the obvious leaning walls.

If you are at the Hallucinogen Wall, take the path zig-zagging down and left starting at BONGOLEO. Pass the Little Red Wall and the Disciple Wall to arrive on the far right of the crag.

A huge route with mostly good holds. Start up easy jugs, then cut right about 20 feet up and clip the first bolt. Gently pull on the "African Tufas" past another bolt until holds appear again. Keep moving past jugs and a short tricky section to a rest at a horizontal break below the roof.Get it all back, then pull over the roof and enjoy an extended crux section that starts with a right-trending undercling with horrible, smeary feet. Past the underclings, a few ...[more]   Browse More Classics in International
