Description Suggest change

The Ghost Town is in the heart of the Little Popo Agie canyon. It faces north and west, making it a decent summer area. The rock quality is quite variable. A big fire razed the cliff in the early 2000s, severely spalling some of the cliff while leaving other areas untouched. There had been a few routes bolted at the cliff before the fire came through, but the hardware on these earlier routes is quite suspect.

Getting There Suggest change

Approach as for the Sweat Lodge. Drive past Wild Iris on Limestone Mountain road, past the Aspen Glade, the North Country, and the Pass Creek Cabins. Take a left at the T intersection and then follow the road down to Pass Creek. Park just before the road goes through Pass Creek.  The approach begins with a steep uphill following an old four wheeler track that has been closed to vehicular traffic.  Next, follow cow and game trails for about 3/4 of a mile to a contouring section.  Look for a small scree field just below the cliff.  Walk up here and you will find yourself at the Dead Zone.  The hiking approach is about 40 minutes.
