One of the most aesthetic boulders at HWLD it also marks the beginning of the designated climbing area. Only has a few problems, but two are classics!

Unfortunately, the crab shifted (presumably this winter/spring) and the two classic problems are no more.

Getting There 

The first obvious boulder of Shelf Beach. Sloped on all sides with a distinctive white overhanging section which faces towards the approach along the beach.

For the Ontario area.

Rising traverse along the SE side of The Crab boulder. SDS on the left and follow jugs and slopers at the lip of the boulder until the apex of the overhang at the right end. From a huge jug move up to pockets on the blunt arete and mantel.
