These towers are actually next to the rim just east of Tusher Canyon. This page, or the State Highway 313 page (that one would not allow it), seemed like the best location for the descriptions
The towers are easily seen from the corner of 191 and Highway 313. They are on the left about a mile north of 313. They are Wingate, but much of it is very soft.
To reach them drive north on 191 from the 313 turnoff for about a mile. Turn onto a dirt road (Cotter Mine Road) that usually has lots of ATV trailers parked at its start. Follow this road for about 3/4 of a mile, passing over the tracks on the way. Turn leftat the 3/4 mile mark towards the rim. This road goes straight at the rim and then contours up the hillside. As you drive up it you will be looking at the north side of the tower. The road deteriorates after a large flat area that used to be the surface staging spot for some uranium mines (the Cotter Mine).
Park and walk up the road to a point directly under the towers, then ascend the scree slope. There is a weakness in the band that is under the towers that can be third classed.

Unexpectedly, I might have found the best beginner-tower route in the desert. Its not long, its not difficult, and its easy to find. I give it three stars but I do so stating ITS A BEGINNERS CLIMB. If you are looking for long, endurance pumping splitters on your tower, this is not it. INstead, this climb is marked by short pitches of pleasant climbing, a little slot canyon, and an untramelled valley. The finish is great and there is no questioning it is a tower. It has great rock, unique feature...[more] Browse More Classics in UT
