Have you ever been sitting in your chair in Kansas and watching videos of the guys climbing El Cap and wonder what it would feel like to touch a wall that smooth and with that small of holds? Well Teter Rock gives you the chance. Very small slab of rock near 20ft tall. Small hand holds and small foot holds.

Just a couple of quick questions regarding climbing Teter Rock.

1. Did you ask permission from the landowner to climb on the rock before going out there and just doing as you please?

2. Do you know the history behind Teter Rock?

3. Do you know that the landowner is gracious enough to let the public come in and enjoy the views in every direction from Teter Rock and consistantly finds names etched or spray painted on the rock and now there are 2 stakes stabbed in the rock?

Please don't disrespect other people's property, especially when they are willing to allow the public to come onto their private property. If you wish to come to Teterville and enjoy the magnificant views in every direction, then please do so, but don't disrespect the landowner or this monument to my family. Please leave the area in better condition that what it was when you got there.

Thank you.

Please remove this link. You are promoting defacing and climbing on private property. The owner has been gracious enough to allow access to this scenic and rarely scene place. It marks the site of where a town stood and the original rocks were a marker for settlers crossing the prairie. There are wild horses grazing within few hundred feet of the rock. Please don't ruin it for the rest of us.
