4 to 5 inches breh

Current San Diego County Advisories MORE INFO >>>

Slightly overhanging fists/off-fists, bring your burlsauce

Could lead it with 4-5" pieces. Backside is a 5.7 big fist crack that you can climb to set a TR on this thing. Crack takes 5 inch cams for an anchor if the couple TR-only bolts go missing. Downclimb the 5.7 to get off the boulder.

Just southeast of the big egg boulder

Cams, braj

couple bolts on top for anchor

Are there still bolts (2 old 1/4" and one newer 3/8") on top of this formation?

I believe there are bolts, haven't been out in a while. You know how things get chopped/etc

As of April last year there were two good bolts up top. I'd say that mellow 5.7 fist crack to set up a TR is a bit of sandbag unless you have Gorgon mits like uncle Burch. Also the anchors are not set up for a rap so plan on downclimbing that thing to get down.

Thanks for the bolt info Lou, I'll clean up that description. The approach fist crack takes 4" pieces, but they are baggy at the top. If you can get up TRC, you'll probably be fine on the downclimb.
