Rock Climbing Photo: A Larry Coats or Scott Baxter image. 2nd pitch, I ...
March 5th and 6th at the Museum of Northern Arizona

Once in a lifetime chance to hear from folks who know the place unlike anyone else. You'll hear from climbers you may have never heard of but who substantial credentials.

An added bonus, Tooth Rock ascents. Rarely seen images and even more rare, info from the FAs.

It ain't sport climbing but it is about as sporty as it gets.

Supposedly this is Steve Grossman's last Granitica Festival in Arizona for sometime. Granite Mountain, The Stronghold, Baboquivari and now The Grand Canyon. These events are not to be missed if you have any interest in the history of climbing.

I think Steve G. initally was looking at the 15/16 so the early word was that.

But like the rat said, 5th and 6th for sure!

Hey, if anyone has any pics of the climbing on Pegasus...
Especially 1st and 3rd pitches. I could sure use them.
2nd pitch I'll also take but I have a few that will basically cover it.
Looking down the 2nd would be nice...

Ha ha ha ha.. I don't belong on this list, but if you're looking for a very cool way to spend a Sunday, come on out to the Museum of Northern Az today. Some great photos and stories of pioneering climbs in the Big Ditch will be happening! It's been fantastic so far and more in store for today!!

No worries Jeff, just want to keep the record straight. :-)

Thanks to you for supporting a great event. Incredibly inspiring to hear all those fantastic stories straight from the crazy guys in slippery shoes free soloing nutty things in the Big Ditch.

Thanks also to Steve Grossman for having the vision to gather people together to preserve and enjoy the history of these fantastic wild places!!!

LMAO.... I thought it was just lack of sleep....

This was awesome fun. All the Granitica's have been this way but this was something special. Guess you have to hump the ditch to truly understand but wow!
