This route must be climbed in the morning hours, as it receives a lot of sunshine and bakes out quickly.
Directly above the "table rock", an 8' diameter slab lying across the summit hiking trail, lies a band of ice dropping down through a notch above onto the lower slabs. Climb this.


Ascend the main hiking trail to the tablerock, about 15 minutes from the trailhead. If you get to the Viewpoint area, you've gone too far.


Screws, cams, caution.
The ice is typically thin on the slab, but low-angle. Up high, the ice narrows considerably, cams may provide protection where the ice is inadequate for screws.
