The Swiss Cheese wall was put up almost completely in 2009 and offers a good selection of easier climbing. The right side (eleven routes from grades 4-6a) is THE destination for beginner climbers and guided groups, so don't come here for solitude. It offers shade in the bamboo at the base of the wall and is southeast facing, thus the climbs will be in the sun early and don't into the shade until very late in the day. It does not stay dry in the rain.

Getting There

Head down the road toward Golden Cat Cave and the Wine Bottle but before the Golden Cat Cave and before the tourist attraction the Ancient Totem Path make a right turn into the village on the paved road. Follow this until it turns to a dirt road and pass a little pond on the left and then a distinct limestone pinnacle on the right. Shortly after the pinnacle you will come on a holding pond on the right. Pay the lady to park in her parking lot, then circumnavigate the edge of the pond counterclockwise. This will bring you to the trail to the crag.

This area comes into the sun early and goes into the shade late. Although the belay area is nicely shaded by the bamboo, the sun beats down on the routes themselves.

This area has also replaced the Wine Bottle as the go-to area for noobs and guided groups. No matter the temps or time of day, there were never fewer than four lines up at the right side.

The grades also tend to be significantly softer than other areas.

It costs 1 RMB per bike to park in the parking lot.
