Bunch of cool holds

RAIN AND WET ROCK The sandstone in Red Rocks is fragile and is very easily damaged when it is wet. MORE INFO >>>

Fun jug-hauling with some short traverses on good holds. Nice view from the top.

Rightmost route within the cave, just right of Makulu

5 bolts to anchor

This is a quality route. Very good movement on some surprisingly good holds. Unfortunately the quality of the stone deteriorates towards the anchors. This route is also a candidate for bolt & anchor replacement. The last bolt is angle iron 1/2"- kind of scary if you don't feel you can do the last moves that are in the 9 range.

last bolt before the anchor is a sketchy homemade anchor that should prob be replaced. we cleaned up a little crunchy rock towards the top today.

Thanks to the LVCLC and a donation from the ASCA this route is now equipped with FIXE 6 1/2" glue ins for anchor and pro bolts, and SS carabiners on the anchors.

A fantastic route- second only to Yaak Crack in quality for a 5.11 at the Gallery. Solid work on the glue-ins, as this would have been an exciting lead with bad bolts. Rock quality was good to great for the entire route, although the crispiness around the route keeps your attention.

Fun climbing on really cool holds that you don't always get to see at Red Rock. Surprised that I've never seen anyone on this route, seems to be overlooked despite all the crowds at Gallery/WoC. Highly recommended!
