Description

This area is home to some sweet boulder problems, hosting some slab climbs and some challenges roofs. Right now in the guide there are about 8 climbs listed but there are more going up and there is a ton of room for development. PLEASE NOTE. Ticks in this area specifically the Southside set are crazy bad, check yourselves quite a bit after hiking to and from the area.

Getting There

If you are coming from the Elmira, Horseheads, Ithaca area, take 14 south until you reach a town called Alba then take a left on Windfall Rd which takes you to 414. Take a left on 414, drive for about 1 mile and then take your next right by a little country store just before a small bridge. Head up the hill and follow the signs for Sunfish Pond. Park at the end of the pond, cross the foot bridge and look for a path...you also might need to forge one, but rest assured the rocks are back there and easy to find. The approach should take 5-10 mins.

Start under the roof with some good hands on a horizontal and reach back for a side pull crimp on the flake. Some foot work and a good reach will get you out to the triangular jug at the end of the flake that is now flexing as you hang on it. Reach out to the roof throw up a heel and do some pull ups to top out. ...[more]   Browse More Classics in Pennsylvania
