Description

You're in the Frankenjura but wish you had a bit more of an alpine feeling? This is a good choice for you. These crags are just minutes away from the car, but the approaches are STEEP and many of the routes (especially on Stefansturm) long.

Getting There

In the southeast corner of Bärnfels is a fork in the road. The left one shows that it leads to Königstein. Take this fork which changes to a gravel road and follow it for 300m to a place where 3-4 cars could park on the right. Get out and walk up the tractor tracks into the woods. After a short distance the climber's trail branches off right (marked by a stone). A short distance later you'll see Stefansturm on your left and the Nebenmassiv on your right.
