THis route is located just left of Redtail. It climbs the arete just left of the black streak. Begin on block ten feet left of Red Tail. Do some slabby climbing through the first few bolts then clip up to the steep feature arete. Fight constant barn dooring as you pinch, lieback and edge your way to the chains. Might as well climb it.

9 bolts to a bolted anchor.

I thought this was actually more fun then Redtail. Balancy and engaging climbing up the arete, with a bonus slab fun (10b?) at the bottom.

Worth doing for sure. True Arete climbing, not just a face in proximity to one. You will love the route, or learn a thing or two about balance. Get on it.

If you are going to use huge tick marks on all of the key holds, please clean them off when you are done flailing. It really ruins the experience for the climbers coming after you. We were able to remove some of the larger 3 inch tick marks.

Had been wanting to do this line since rapping down it from the Redtail anchors in 2010. Sudden Pleasure is a super high-quality line, but it is of 3-star quality to Redtail's 4, IMO.

This line has maybe one or two moves as hard as (but no harder) than any single move on Redtail, but is not as continuously engaging.
