BETA PHOTO: Straw Man line

A nice low-angle climb protected by good bolts with lots of incut holds. It gets a lot of sun in the morning but cools off nicely in the afternoon.

Immediately to the left of Silver Streak. Belay from the lowest terrace.

8 bolts. Steel biners on the anchors. As always, if doing multiple laps on a route, please use your own draws, then lower off the fixed biners when done.

If I'm not mistaken, the lowest newly-reinforced belay platform lines up with Alpha Centauri. The belay platform for Straw Man would be the next one up the hill.

Yes, Alpha Centauri is on the lowest belay platform and Straw Man is the next one up.

My Butoras were killing my toes so I decided to give this thing a go in my Vans. Still very enjoyable even though it felt like climbing in skis. Fortunately, there was an abundance of footholds and there were jugs for days.
