BETA PHOTO: Gotta love it!

Description

Plenty of interesting placements make the first half an easily enjoyable romp. The more vertical finish ends with a climactic shift right to an obvious tree.

Could use a little cleaning. One noticeable shoe-box sized loose rock half-way. Some fractures here and there. The top get's your hand's dirty, but doesn't detract from this great route.

Location

towards the end of Squeeze Ledge, Just left of lillan's Arrete and seepage. West facing, always dry.

Protection

Plenty of gear, plug away! medium stoppers, finger-sized cams, double 1's, and a 3. No anchors, but a temporary sling.

I hopped on this shortly after the Fa party. Very fun but could use some cleaning; also watch out for the very large loose rock below the crux. I put a large x on it but that might be gone now.

stoke tank must have been full. I believe this can be seen from the Y-12 lookout. nice find; way to have fun out there!

This is more than likely the route the guide book lists as Beer 30. "Stoke" is right where the indicator for the route is in the KB guide and matches the description. There is potential for a possible new line between this one and Lillian's arete, but I'll bet it's been done, too.

@brian k sohn:

Beer 30 is at the far left end of the ledge in the nook which is often wet, Stoke tank Full is on the face halfway between that and lillian's arete. It's more of chicken head climb than a crack.
