Description

This one is a bit more fun than "Step 1". This area is a ways down in elevation, and as such, it doesn't get as frozen as most people would like. So the pool at the bottom of the cascade is open and happy for people to fall in on the approach. As a result, you can't just walk up to this climb. you have to do a little bit of simple dry tooling from the right side to make your way to the base and continue up. Ice is fairly thin here compared to the first cascade. I'm guessing a really good year the icicles on the left would make for some fun little climbs!

Protection

This climb is at best 10 meters so feel free to go ropeless on this one, but if you feel like it, the ice is good enough at the top to set an anchor (screws or abalakov) and do some top roping.
