BETA PHOTO: The wave face hidden at the back of the boulder.

Seemingly covered in moss and trees when viewed from the trail, the backside of this boulder features a wave that seems foreign amongst the slabs and aretes of the area.

The Tide and Stem the Tide are two fun and easy problems that are good for warming up or anyone looking for something different. There looks to be a ~V4 crimp problem on the face that the wave meets up with, and additional cleaning might uncover some cool sit-start problems on the overhanging area to the right.

Getting There

Walk past the Old Old Wooden Ship. You'll hit a stretch of the trail that has some rocks set into the ground like stepping stones. Look left to see a moss-covered boulder that looks like it's being attacked by a squid-shaped tree. Walk around to the back to find the wave feature that contains The Tide and Stem the Tide.

I'm so glad these boulder problems got cleaned and climbed. That stem/corner feature on the backside is a really cool an unique. Nice work!
