Just out side of Zion National Park north of the Kolob Section and 12miles south of Cedar City. Sandstone Climbing with a mix of sport and trad. This looks like a newly developed area with not a lot of info out there and hardly visited for climbing. You will most likely not see another climber while your back here, just hikers.

Getting There

From Cedar City head south on I-15, get off at exit 51 toward Kanarraville, After you see E 300 S st on the left take the next left on a dirt road. You will drive down this a short distance till you reach a turnaround area where you can park. From there you will hike south east on the trail and will start to see the first climb on the left once you get into the narrow section. About 1.5 miles of hiking with 500ft of gain.

There are at least 20 established routes here with potential for lots more. The approach hike and scarcity of sport routes tends to keep the masses away.

How did I miss this place? I climbed a few routes up a canyon that I didn't know the name of. I wonder if this is the canyon. Looks rad. Great to see some new routes close to Cedar.

This area is a blm wilderness study area. I was told you could not bolt, is this true? because I put up a few sport routes on the lime stone that is back there.

As far as I know you can bolt in the WSA, but not with power tools. Which shouldn't be a problem because the rock is sooooooft. Probably worth checking with the BLM though.
