The back side of this boulder (when looking at it from the road) is a ~15 foot triangular overhang. The left arete of this overhang features an excellent moderate problem for the area called "The Blade".

Getting There

Approaching the Nathrop Blocks from the north on County Road 300, you will pass a cattleguard when the rock type switches over to sugarloaf rhyolite. This boulder is 130 yards from that cattleguard on the left side of the road.

Climbing Season

For the Buena Vista area.

Make sure to plan out the feet you will use on the face before taking off from the ground, as a poor foot placement could result in breakage of weak rock and a less-than-desirable fall....[more]   Browse More Classics in CO

Yes, this video was shot with a potato....
Propped a phone up a rock and recorded - thought it might be helpful for showing size perspective and movement in case anyone was interested in climbing this boulder. Recommended.
