BETA PHOTO: Space Domes, Spaced invaders, and the boulders

Space Invaders is a huge, north facing, overhanging boulder. The climbing is in the 5.11 to 5.12 range. The routes can be led or easily top-roped.

There are two micro domes (the "Space Domes") across the gully to the northwest that offer short, challenging routes. Use this approach, but head up and left to the domes.

Getting There

About two miles from the junction of Sawmill Rd. and Hwy 50. Take the first right, onto Twin Peaks. Park at a dead end just beyond Mountain Canary. Do not disturb the residents. Hike up a gully and the cliff is on the right.

Climbing Season

For the The Pie Shop area.

Nice looking patina wall just Southwest of Space Invaders with mystery climbs

Does anybody know anything about this little craglet? This is a nice looking patina covered wall just a little Southwest of Space Invaders. GPS 38 52.9415 N by 120 01.0685 W. If you can find Space Invaders you can follow a (very brushy) line of carins downhill and around the base of the crag to this wall. It has at least 3 bolted routes on it. The routes are pretty short, about 3-4 bolts each. There are anchors on top, but at least 2 sets of anchors don't have anything to rap off of.
