~The rolling hills and sparse vegetation~(winter) ensure that long distance observation may be made. The lake (shaped like a wish-bone) is generally surrounded by hills on all sides. The roads leading into Lake Lincoln are mostly winding county roads. These roads, with lake access points on the N and W sides of Lake Lincoln, allow for a timely movement of casualties to surrounding medical facilities. (WRMC, Fayetteville)

The overall time of travel to the South(East)Side of the lake is approx. 20 min. via foot (it's all easy cruisin) It should be noted that sightings have been made of city personnel patrolling the lake rim on bike, there to potentially report and site.

BOLO (be on the look out) for amish people who use the lake as a watering hole.

Scheme of Maneuver

With the road to your back, standing in the parking area, make movement to the SE side of the lot, IVO the porta-$hiz. The switchbacking trail that climbs the hill from the parking lot starts here. It turns N at the top and handrails the lake, contouring the hill (check the GoogleMaps extension.) The trail essentially takes you to the SE portion of the lake on the west bank (no reported sightings of Hezbollah..see Coordinating Instructions for actions-@-objective)

Slug Traverse V1+ 5  Arkansas : Lake Lincoln : South(East)Side Bouldering
sumtimes a SunOfEhGun to find (it's to the SE extreme of the loop trail, right before it bangs up hill), this retaining-wall like boulder allows for a fun traverse that you can warm up on or pump out on depending. Though generally completed left to right, do whatever you want. This route goes at V4 in sum guidebook..just couldn't bring myself to inputting that.. a sloping traverse (never really desperate) ending in a shinDig of a mantle. YeeHaw! GoHawgz!!...[more]   Browse More Classics in Arkansas
