I believe this is one of the best virtually untouched place on Pike's Peak.

Getting There 

This side is hard to get to. You hike from Barr Trail or descend the summit.

I figure with all the crowds cued up on Total Abandon and Blind Assumption most weekends that folks should have an option other than racing each other across the Hero Traverse. This route offers a really fun, though short pitch of ice, followed by a very airy, mixed traverse with good gear. The cruxes are a good deal harder than Total Abandon and Blind Assumption, and the approach is no gimme, but, if you're up for a new adventure, go check 'er out.P1. The South Cirque has north - east - south facing aspects and has many lines from steep snow to mixed to alpine rock routes. Getting there is harder than other areas on Pikes Peak and thus, you'll have the area to yourself. Explore and enjoy.
